PCO Driver
Requirements.
Everything you need to know about renting a Wolverhampton-plated private hire vehicle with GC Car Hire. Fast, transparent onboarding across the Midlands.
1. Taxi / PHV Badge
You must hold a valid Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) driver's badge. As our fleet is plated locally, a Wolverhampton City Council badge is ideal for immediate starts across the Midlands.
2. DVLA Licence
A full UK DVLA photocard driving licence is required. You must have held this licence for a minimum of 12 months. We cannot accept provisional licences.
3. Proof of Address
Two recent forms of proof of address (e.g., utility bill, bank statement, council tax bill) dated within the last 3 months matching your DVLA licence.
4. Deposit & Rental
An initial refundable deposit of £250.00 is required to secure your vehicle, alongside your first week's rental payment in advance.
5. Driving History
Maximum of 9 penalty points on your licence. Drivers with major endorsements (such as IN10s or DR10s) may not be eligible for our inclusive insurance policies.
6. Age Restrictions
For insurance purposes, all drivers must be aged 25 or over. You must also provide your National Insurance number for official checks.
